The picture below was a year ago on this day. My how we have grown.

So we are 2 months away from the big day. I cant believe they are going to be 2 soon! Actually some days it does feel like its been a very LONG 2 years! Regardless I am excited for the Twos, they are one of my favorite ages. Granted, I love this age too, but once they are two they will be able to do more activities, such as painting, storytimes, etc. Its just too hard to do some things with three toddlers by myself. Painting is a nightmare, we barely make it through markers, playdough works for a few minutes, crayons work for a minute until they decide to eat them and draw on the floor, I think you get the idea. I still try and hope as they get more into the two year old mode we will have better success at our activity attempts.
They are talking and repeating most words now. They generally tell me what they want and will recap some of their experiences with me. Such as if we went to the mall, later that day they will tell me they went bye bye to the mall and talk about what they saw, etc. Granted they are not using full sentences by any means, but one to two word phrases most of the time. They really understand a lot of what is told of them and they can follow simple instructions and 2 step instructions, such as "go sissy's sock and bring it to me", or "where is your baby? Go find her." I love watching their little minds work and figure out these tasks. They know their body parts, animal sounds, and we are working on colors and shapes right now. They do know circle and star so far. They are to the point of labeling pictures in books, I used to be the one saying see the dog, now they tell me what is in the picture.
And finally they have turned into Monkeys! They climb everything, I no longer have kitchen chairs in my kitchen. I had to move them out. They were being used to climb onto everything else and it was mass chaos. So now my furniture is down to a kitchen table (no chairs), a couch and a chair. Coffee Tables and end tables live in the garage now, the kitchen chairs live in my bedroom. Things are starting to look a bit odd around here! They also LOVE to climb in and out of their highchairs and practice buckling the straps in the highchairs. That provides many minutes of entertainment for them, who needs toys when you have highchairs to play with and push all around the house that no longer has furniture in it?! Ahhh life with triplets.

I remember going through the chair thing in the kitchen. It's insane. I can't even cook w/them in the kitcen because they all want to pull a chair up to the counter. It's total chaos....six hands grabbing everything. Not fun, so I avoid it at all costs. I haven't had to empty out the living room as far as furniture goes, but I can tell you that there's not one decorative item in there that they can get to. My house will be getting a makeover when they go to kindergarten.
