Christmas Eve

We were so happy to get to spend Christmas Eve with my brother this year! Last year he was in Iraq. We had fun decorating cookies, eating our traditional dinner and opening a few presents as well.

Christmas Eve

This year the triplets took cookie decorating seriously and had a great time with our traditional Christmas Eve activity.

Gingerbread House

We completed our 1st Gingerbread house. The kids had a blast helping me make it from mixing the dough, cutting out the pieces and finally the decorating part! They however were less than pleased that they couldnt eat it once we had finished it. Maybe next year I'll consider that idea...

Leaves

We spent the afternoon raking leaves a few weeks ago. Wore the kids and mommy out!

Thanksgiving Feast

First Real Water Slide

Yay! The triplets were tall enough to get to go on their first real water slides!! They were not afraid to go alone, even in the dark covered tube slides. I was quite impressed with their independence. Since they were so independent, I decided that these brave independent children also earned the right to carry those inflatable tubes up the stairs to the top of the water slides all by themselves. Ah independence, such a nice thing for the mother!

Happy Halloween

The Cat In The Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2 were the Halloween Theme this year. Im wondering if the kids will let me go for another theme next year, I have a feeling it will have to be a hard sell. We tried to pack in plenty of Halloween costume wearing events as possible this year. The kids had a great time trick or treating this year, however it wore me out. This was the first year I took them by myself and Daddy stayed home to hand out candy. It was quite the adventure and learing experience. I had to constantly remind them to stay close by, watch out for the cars, wait for your brothers and/or sister, only go to the house with the lights ON, only ring the doorbell 1 time NOT 20 times in a row, no its not your turn to ring the doorbell, yes its your turn now, If you keep running ahead and not waiting for everyone you will have to hold my hand, step back so they can open the door, say thank you, no you cant have more, no we already went to that house, hold your bag up or your gonna step on it, and no you cant eat all the candy right now. I think I needed a recording of all that on a continious loop. They also thought it was really funny to go trick or treating at their own house with Daddy answering the door.

The Blackhawk

The Blackhawk was a great and exciting time for the kids! This was the 2nd time they have gotten to see one up close and personal.

Fair Fun

We took the triplets to the fair the evening of their 4th Bday! They loved the rides and had a great time riding on the Ferris wheel. We also enjoyed some yummy ice cream snacks, courtesy of Grandma!

Happy 4th Birthday!!!!!!!!

We celebrated by having a Fire Fighter Birthday party at our local Fire Station. The children had a tour of the station and then were able to climb in the firetruck to look around. We followed that up with some good ole cake, icecream and presents.
