Bye Bye Binki

So we are on day 2 of binki rehab. Yes you heard me right, the binki has been cut off, literally. I took my scissors and cut part of the tip off the binki. I thought that would make it easier for them instead of me just making it disapper. They ask for it by name so I didnt want them to get frustrated and didnt think I understood them or was ignoring them when they were asking for it. So now they still have their beloved binki, but its just broke now. Or as we say its "Uh Oh Binki". And see the beauty of this all is that they dont know you can go to the store to get more, so they have just accepted the fact that its "Uh Oh". They have done pretty well for the most part, not really asked for it much, and need a few extra hugs and patted on their back a little bit to go to bed. I am sad to see the binki go as they love them so, but its time.

My brain is starting to fail me....

So i dont know if its being tired (because I stay up entirely way too late, by choice), cabin fever, or just the fact that my brain is starting to fail me.

Here is a perfect example of how my brain failed me today....so the kids and I loaded up in the van to run a few errands (none involved having to get the kids out of the van, thank goodness!). I discovered that I needed to get some gas for the van. I stopped at Sam's, we are members and their prices are usually better than the gas station across the street from it. Anyways back to the story, I got out of the van and started to fill the tank. I got back into the van to wait for the tank to fill because its pretty darn cold out there. I hear the click of the pump handle telling me its done. I get back out, put the pump back and the gas cap back on. I go back to the van to get back inside and guess what, the door is locked!!!! I panic for a second and try the other doors and soon realize that now I am locked out of the van and my children and locked inside the van in the cold as well as my purse, keys, cell phone, and garage door opener. What a way to start the day!! Lucky for me, Sam's has an attendant that is outside watching the pumps and I tell him my situation. He has a phone and I called my husband, who cannot help me because he is in another town over working. Great! I cant call anyone else to help because the keys to get into my house are in my VAN! So I called a locksmith and begged them to hurry as my kids are locked inside the van (with out their coats on) and its cold! They got there pretty quick and all was well. I still dont know How the door got locked. Its been happening to me a lot in the garage. I get out of the van to get something and I go back and its locked. So either the van is having a malfunction or my brain is having a malfunction. I hope its the van!

Some New Shoes

Well, I am always on the hunt for different styles/brands of shoes for my triplets. I dont buy alot of shoes for them, but like to check out all my options so when its time to get the next pair, I know what I want. Well for now anyways, thats the plan, I am sure once they get bigger it wont be so elaborate. Since we dont get out much due to RSV season, online window shopping is a great source on entertainment for me. Amazingly enough, I did get out by myself over the weekend and happened upon a local Children's Specialty Clothing store. This store is generally out of my price range when you are buying things X's 3, but sometimes I can find sales on small things like Hair bows. When I went inside, I wanted to check out some of their shoes. I had seen some of these same brands while online window shopping, and well now it was time to check out these bad boys in person. To my suprise, this store was having a SHOE SALE, 40% off mind you, which now ment that these shoes were going to be in my budget! Now trying to find styles that had the sizes I needed and the quantity that I needed is always a challenge when buying for triplets, I am getting used to that. So here is the new brand that I have fallen in love with....See Kai Run Shoes. Yep thats the brand, and the shoes are so soft and look so comfortable, plus they have great tread on the soles. I havent taken a pic of the kiddos in them yet, but I will and will post at another time, but for now here is their link to check them out http://www.seekairun.com/products.php
